The long awaited dream of the people of Larabanga in the Damongo constituency was met when the elders and the youths of the Larabanga community took delivery of an excavator that is sent by Lawyer Samuel Abu Jinapor to dig a dam for them.
Residents of the Larabanga community has over the years have serious challenges in accessing water for domestic purposes.
Mostly in the dry season when the little boreholes in the community fails to pump enough water to supply the community members, women and youth will have to commute to as far as Palmaah and other places in search of water for domestic use.
In view of these the Chief Imam, Elders and Women of the community have on several occasions appeal to some of our political leaders to construct a dam for them at the China gravel site to no avail.
This appeal was however met immediately when the information got to the Member of Parliament for the Damongo constituency Lawyer Samuel Abu Jinapor through the NPP constituency Chairman Alhaji Adam aka Chairman "Bulldozer". The MP in reaction to this appeal quickly sent a Contractor with his working equipment such as an excavator and some number of tipper tracks to the Larabanga community to kick start the construction of the Dam at the said site under the supervision of the community stakeholders.
Delivery the working equipment to the Larabanga community members in a short gathering of Imams, elders, women and the youth of the community, the NPP chairman Alhaji Adam aka Chairman Bulldozer said "our MP Lawyer Samuel Abu Jinapor who is always at our service has today sent me again to hand over the site engineer and the contractor responsible for the construction of the Larabanga dam to Chief Imam, opinion leaders and the entire community members so that you can take charge of the dam construction process in the Larabanga community.
According to Chairman Adams the MP has always been responsive to the plight of people and have supported the community in some many ways that he needs not to remind them but they can all the attest to the fact.
He therefore call on all the community members to keep praying for good health and success for the Legislature to always do more for them.
The Women, youth and the leaders of the larabanga community were full of joy and praises to the Mp and promise to always pray for him.
According to them, Lawyer Samuel Abu Jinapor is a Unique MP who's records can not be compared to any other MP, since he is the only MP who has constantly visited and interact with them ever since he was elected to represent them in the house of Parliament and that he before and after his election ad MP has done a lot for them interms of development.
The contractor has since started work on the construction of the dam and he is expected to finish work soon.
