KAGA foundation, the organizers of the 2022 maiden edition of the wuripe Savannah cultural festival (WUSACUF) on Friday, 8th July, 2022 paid a courtesy call on the Vice president of the Savannah Regional House of chiefs and paramount chief for the Buipe Traditional area, His royal majesty, Buipewura Abdulai Jinapor II at his residence in Buipe.
The Team leader of KAGA foundation, Mr. Abutu Kapori in a short address explained that the visit by the team to his royal palace was to thank him as the vice president of the Savannah Regional House of Chiefs and the many other chiefs of the Land for the enormous support and endorsement given them towards the realization of the 2022 Wuripe Savannah cultural festival which grand finale was held in Bole.
He added that, the endorsement of "WUSACUF" 2022 by the Chiefs led by the overlord of the Gonja kingdom gave them the zeal and motivation to work across the seven Administrative Assemblies in the region to clock out the best as Queen of "WUSACUF" 2022.
He thanked Buipewura Abdulai Jinapor for rallying behind the team through out the season in ensuring that the program was successful and appealed to him for his continuous support to the foundation as they work towards season 2 of the program scheduled for next year.
The team also used the visit to officially introduce the 2022 winner of WUSACUF (Queen Jakpache) and her 1st and 2nd runner ups to Buipewura Jinapor II for his blessings.
Buipewura Abdulai Jinapor II in his response, expressed gratitude to KAGA foundation team for a great job done in organizing such an event which is aimed at reviving the lost indigenous cultural traditions of the Land.
He said, KAGA foundation has set the pace and should not relent on their efforts to change the fallen cultural narrative of in the youth of the savannah region and that, his doors are widely opened for any kind of support needed to progress into the future of "WUSACUF" but however, called on KAGA foundation to review their score percentages for the performance to rate higher than the voting as that will engineer they participants to put up their best in the cultural activities of the program.
He thanked the winners of WUSACUF 2022 and all the contestants of the program for participating in the event and urged the winners not to overlook the honor done them as it's a prestige that will expose them to the rest of the world and must be regarded as such.
The Paramount Chief,however assured the winners of WUSACUF 2022 of his readiness to support them in their respective projects.
