The member of parliament for the Damongo constituency and Minister for Lands and Natural resources, Lawyer Samuel Abu Jinapor has supported an accident victim, Mr. Mahama Sawedu who is currently receiving medical treatment at the Upper West Regional Hospital with a cash amount of Ghc10,000.
The deputy organizer of the NPP in the Damongo constituency, Alhaji Alhassan Fuseini (Rambo) made the donation on behalf of the Member of parliament when he led a delegation to visit the victim at the Wa regional hospital on Monday, 20th June, 2022.
He explained that, the plight of the young accident victim on admission touched the heart of the Mp when reports of his condition was drawn to the Mp's attention through some constituency executives of the NPP which prompted him to lend a helping hand to enable the victim cater for the medical bills being incurred while receiving treatment at the Wa regional hospital.
Receiving the gesture on behalf of the victim, Madam Mariama Alidu expressed gratitude to the member of parliament for the support given them and said, it will go a long way to help them in settling some of the medical expenses incurred on their son.
She added that, very few people have the heart to reach out to others when they need arises but said, Abu Jinapor is exceptional and that, it is their prayer that God continues to bless the Law maker in all his endeavors.
Mr. Yussif Ewuntomah Rayan, a member and vice president of the youth group ( Base one ) on behalf of the group, thanked the Mp for the recognition and honor done them by coming to the aid of their member in times like this adding that, the group and the family are grateful to him for the support and pray that, God replenishes his support in million folds.
Mr. Mahama Sawedu also thanked the Mp for the support and recounted how the accident happened on the 8th of May, 2022 when he tried to avoid a collision between a motorking he was driving and a car which was driven by a female police officer who misled him with a wrong trafficator indicating she was to curve at a direction but later curved to the direction of the motor king leading to the accident but thanked God for his life and hoping that, God will see him through and get him out of his sick bed soon.
The deputy organizer was accompanied by the constituency Nasara Coordinator ( Mr. Nsorwura Ibrahim), The electoral area coordinator for Attributo ( Mr. Iddrisu ) and the Vice president of the Base one group ( Mr. Yussif Ewuntomah Rayan).
