Lives of Abingakura residents in Danger as Electricity pole is chopped off by fire

The lives of Residents of Abingakura, a suburb of Damongo and some surrounding communities in the West Gonja Municipality of the Savannah region are in danger as an electric pole in the area is almost chopped off by fire which poses the lives of residents of the area at risk.

According to some residents in the area, the nature of the pole is dangerous and can cause havoc to human lives and crying for safety from the Volta River Authority ( VRA).

The electricity pole which is in a bad condition after being burnt by fire last year.

The community members together the Assembly man for the area, Hon Alhassan Adam are pleading with the Authorities of VRA and the West Gonja Municipal Assembly as a matter argency come to their rescue.

Hon. Alhassan Adam, the Assembly man for the area and other community members who spoke to this reporter said,  any time it rains  or  wind blows, residents usually experiences some unexpected power outages due to the nature of the electricity Pole and are calling for the immediate replacement of the Pole.
