Naada Jinapor Foundation, a non governmental and philanthropic Organization has on Monday 4th July, 2022, commissioned a mechanized borehole for the Jema Senior High School in the Kintampo South District of the Bono East Region
The borehole which is estimated at Forty Thousand Ghana cedis (40,000.00) and fully funded by the foundation is to help resolve some water scarcity being experienced in the school and to also help provide portable drinking water for students and staff of the school.
At a short ceremony at the Jema Senior High School to commission the project, Mr. Dauda Abdeen, secretary to the Naada Jinapor foundation and Personal Assistant to Lawyer Naada Jinapor said ,the Naada Jinapor foundation is committed to the development of the school and ready to support both students and staff of the school to ensure their comfortability for effective teaching and learning, hence the construction of the borehole.
The Headmaster of the Jema Senior High School, Mr Amoateng Nyarko on behalf of the school, expressed gratitude to Lawyer Naada Jinapor for her kind gesture and quick response to their request and said, "He who provides water gives life,water is life so Naada Jinapor and her Foundation have given the school life".
He further explained that, the Naada Jinapor foundation has done alot towards the development of the school including the reroofing of the school's boys dormitory which was ripped off by some severe rainstorm and appealed to the Foundation to continue to extend it's benevolents to the school as more projects are needed in the school.
The queen mother for the Jema traditional area, Nana Abena Baadjei on her part, applauded Mrs Naada Jinapor for her philanthropic works in the area and asked for God's blessings and protection for her and urged other citizens of Jema abroad, to emulate from the shinning examples of Lawyer Naada Jinapor to help develop the area.
The District Chief Executive for Kintampo south, Hon. Opoku Nyame commended Lawyer Naada Jinapor for her gesture and contribution towards the development of the district and disclosed that, the Naada foundation has also provided water and hospital beds for the Mansie CHIPS compound some few months ago as part of her philanthropic works in the area.
He said government alone cannot shoulder all responsibilities, therefore, there is the need for other well to do individuals to help develop the district and called on the management of the school to cultivate the habit of good maintenance to ensure the sustainability of the facility so as to ensure its longer life span.
some students who spoke to the Media, expressed gratitude to the Naada Jinapor Foundation for coming to their aid in the provision of the borehole, which according to the students will save them from walking long distances in search of water.
